Rural Women’s Network Nepal (RUWON Nepal) drives women-led change by advancing gender equality and empowerment through skills, technology, digital inclusion, leadership, and social justice.

RUWON Nepal partners with women, girls, children, and marginalized communities to expand education, digital opportunities, skill-building, leadership, and sustainable livelihoods.

VISION

An inclusive, equitable, and digitally empowered society where women, girls, children, and marginalized communities can learn, access technology, develop skills, exercise their rights, and participate fully in social, economic, and civic life.

MISSION

To empower women and girls and strengthen marginalized communities through inclusive education, digital skills, technology, leadership, and community action, while advancing gender equality, human rights, social inclusion, and sustainable development.

GOAL

To reduce gender and social inequalities by expanding equitable access to education, digital skills, technology, leadership, livelihood opportunities, and meaningful participation for women, girls, and marginalized communities in rural and urban areas.

OBJECTIVES

* Expand access to education and learning opportunities for girls, children, women, and marginalized communities.
* Strengthen digital literacy and ICT skills, particularly among women and girls who face barriers to technology access.
* Advance women’s and girls’ empowerment through skills development, mentoring, leadership, and economic opportunities.
* Promote digital inclusion and digital rights by supporting safe, accessible, inclusive, and responsible participation in the digital society.
* Increase livelihood and economic opportunities through vocational, digital, and employability skills.
* Support women’s leadership and participation in community, civic, economic, and decision-making processes.
* Address gender-based and social inequalities through awareness, advocacy, education, community engagement, and feminist approaches.
* Strengthen community development initiatives that promote inclusion, resilience, dignity, and sustainable development.
* Integrate technology and digital learning across education, skills development, empowerment, and community development programs.
* Build partnerships and networks with communities, civil society, government, educational institutions, technology organizations, and national and international partners to advance shared goals.
