Supporting Orphans With Love Care And Education
In 2013 was opened a Children’s Home in Kathmandu, in order to support 4-15 year old girls from disadvantaged homes. Most of the children had no parents or had been badly treated at home. Some were found alone on the street, placing them at risk of exploitation.
RUWON provided a safe home for these vulnerable children, as well as nutritious food, clothing and the opportunity to go to school, get education and have a better future. The girls were encouraged to participate in daily activities so as to learn independent living skills, and were provided with love and warmth in a homely atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the project stopped due to lack of funds and the Children’s Home closed its doors in early 2019. The girls were either sent to relatives or have been placed in good children’s homes in Kathmandu.
